The growing concerns about declining student engagement and the low effectiveness of instruction in Physical Education subjects highlight the need to explore the impact of a sports setting on teaching quality and learner engagement. Thus, this study examined the relationship among sports environments, teaching efficacy, and student engagement in Physical Education (PE) settings. It used a descriptive-correlational design to collect data from 500 Physical Education students at five universities using an organized survey tool. Three domains were evaluated, including sporting environment (facilities, teaching approaches, motivation, teacher support, and values), teaching effectiveness (clarity, content knowledge, instructional strategies, classroom management, and feedback), and learning engagement (behavioral, cognitive, emotional, and social resilience aspects). The findings showed that the rating of all the dimensions was low, indicating a strong suggestion that the learning environment, pedagogical practices, and student engagement have to be further enhanced. Correlation analysis revealed that the three variables had significant and positive relations with each other, with a weak to very strong scale. In essence, improved teaching and an increase in student engagement are associated with better sporting contexts. This implies that the improvement of sports facilities, reinforcement of instructions, and encouraging learning conditions are fundamentally significant in improving student engagement and the quality of instruction.
