This study explored the challenges and opportunities in the implementation of the Department of Education (DepEd) Child Protection Policy (CPP) from the perspectives of guidance counselors and guidance personnel in Metro Manila schools. Using qualitative research design, data were collected from seven (7) informants through purposive and snowball sampling. Data were analyzed using thematic analysis to identify recurring patterns and themes across informants’ accounts. Findings revealed that CPP implementation was shaped by themes on stakeholder collaboration and engagement, organizational support, policy awareness and understanding, resource constraints, and role clarity among informants. Challenges included limited resources, inconsistent policy understanding, implementation gaps, and cultural factors influencing parental attitudes and responses to child protection concerns. Meanwhile, opportunities emerged in strengthened collaboration, support oriented practices, and institutional support systems. The study underscores the need for sustained professional development and stronger policy implementation mechanisms.
